Crime Statistics

The Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act requires that each student be provided a detailed breakdown of campus crime statistics. Disclosures required by this law are made available to student, faculty, staff, and the general public. Copies of this publication are available in the Evening Coordinator’s Office, Campus Safety and Security Office, the Office of the Dean of Students & Instructional Services and the Registrar’s Office. For more information concerning campus security, contact Mr. Jeff Rhodes at 251-578-1313 ext. 105.

The Jeanne Clery disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a federal statute. The act requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their respective campuses. Compliance is monitored by the United States Department of Education which can impose civil penalties against institutions for each infraction and can suspend institutions from participating in federal student financial aid programs.
