Welcome From Dr. Douglas M. Littles

Dear Prospective Students:

I am extremely excited and optimistic regarding the opportunities that are before us.  My hope and dream are that those opportunities will not go unclaimed by current and prospective students and the community.  Reid State Technical College is in a unique position to provide you, our stakeholders, with state-of-the-art education and training which address the three core areas of the Alabama College System’s mission:  Workforce Development, Adult Education and to a lesser degree, academic transfer.

South Alabama’s economy is better than ever and will grow over the next five to ten years unlike any time that has ever occurred in this State.  One great need, therefore, is for a well-trained workforce equipped with the appropriate technical skills that business, industry and the professions need coupled with the soft skills that stress the work ethics of punctuality, honesty, respect for self and others, proper time management, proper dress, and proven interpersonal skills, to name a few.
