WHAT: Ready To Work Training is a new training program that prepares individuals to meet the demands of current and future Alabama employers.
RTW graduates who pass a final comprehensive examination earn
“Alabama Certified Worker” status confirming that their proven work
skills and abilities meet requirements set by most employers.
WHO: This industry training program is available free of charge to all persons that are unemployed and want to gain entry-level skills or those persons underemployed and want to gain additional skills for advancement.

Enrollment requirements: Trainee candidates that do not have a GED or high school diploma are
strongly encouraged to attend training and enroll in a GED preparation class. The diploma or GED is a major key to your employment success.
Certification Requirements: Each graduate must achieve a 95% attendance and punctuality rate during the course. The instructor must certify that the trainee has met the minimum requirements for six skills standards:
