WIOA

The WIOA Youth Program at Reid State Technical College serves out-of-school individuals, ages 16-24, in Conecuh, Escambia, Monroe, and Wilcox Counties. We are educating and empowering the future of the workforce by assisting participants in overcoming barriers to attaining their education, training, employment, and career goals. Participants can earn at least one certification such as Forklift, NCCER Core, and the Career Readiness Certificate while developing employability, on-the-job, and life skills. Many students will also have the opportunity to participate in PAID Work-Based Learning. The WIOA Youth Program partners with community organizations and business and industry members to reach the most in-need and at-risk individuals. The WIOA Youth Program is federally funded through the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act, The Alabama Department of Labor, and the Southwest Alabama Partnership for Training and Employment (SWAPTE).
